Just Hanging Out
For Kimble and I it is a very special time when we can gather with all our children, their wonderful partners and our new granddaughters in one place at one time. This year it was San Diego because Delta Airlines cancelled our flights to Maui. I lived in San Diego until I was about 5 or 6 and I remember some. We have been down many times in the past 30 years. In fact, Kimble, Elizabeth and I celebrated our Honeymoon here in 1992 when hurricanes hit the Bahamas (San Diego seems like a great place for a cancelled trip back-up.).
Our last "group" vacation was in 2021, the year Adalynn was born, to Disneyland (a post you can read here) so we thought it only fair to our newest addition, Jaymie, to do a Family Trip in the year she was born.
In April of this year we had arranged, scheduled and booked a trip to Maui. By August, it fell apart. We left December 1, spent the night in Lone Pine to give Adalynn and Jaymie a driving break, then cruised into Mission Bay on Saturday. From there, we had no plans. It just all came together spontaneously during our week.
We had a nice house only 100 yards from Mission Beach with parking and from there we created another great adventure.
So...until next time, Kimble and I close with a perfect set of 32oz Margaritas at the Baha Beach Cafe followed by a sunset as epic as our time with our Family!!
